Excellent 3 stories in 1 novel. Forgiveness was one theme I found in this well-written and emotive story. Relationships, all kinds, are complex, as is the heart and mind. I very much enjoyed this novel and would read another by this talented writer.Product details

Carmen Hill-Dougherty is seeking for change and when a male counterpart comes on the work scene, then her interests excelled as if she was on cloud nine but not normal for a married woman to be attracted to her co-worker. Kendall, senior sales manager, lacks both experience and education but made Carmen's adrenaline flow and mental senses went downhill. She hired this Dominican sex bod, was it worth the fling to lose the wedding ring? She later suffers from a mental breakdown, panic attacks, and her emotional structure brings the reader in.
Tempest Perry thought her dreams were coming true once she met the rookie athlete Sterling Alexander later went professional NFL line-backer but not quite sure she got what her heart desired. She got critical to comforting feedback from her sisters and friend, Dana, after seeing his interview showcasing another woman as his Cinderella. She fights her thoughts and feelings to see if her fiancé truly loves her, or is she just another woman on the game field. Like most women, she reminiscences on her past high school insecurities and imperfections once she sees another beautiful woman on the scene that could steal her dream man from her future wedding plans.
Dana Dougherty, sister-in-law to Carmen and best friend to Tempest, seems to find love in Omar who definitely doesn't feel the same about her. What does a rebound lover look like? When love has a new face, Matthew has the compatibility and stability but Dana discovers that both men are "momma boys." Which man will she choose to share her life and happiness with?
All these ladies have one thing in common failed relationships, where they were seeking for love without anything in return. These women choices make you question their actions and reactions especially when it comes to love, relationships with the opposite sex, and regrets that are hard to forget. Love & Regrets shares relationships where love is on the rocks, love on memory lane from dream to nightmare, and lover rebound just a play toy without any real commitment.
Dream Moment(s) Carmen has watched marriages fail from other family members, and so did hers but her grandparents marriage lasted 40 years. Her grandmother's advice shook something inside of me, "Put more energy into staying married than you put into getting married, and don't be a fool enough to think you're the only woman in the running. There's always someone waiting in the wings, ready to take your gold." We cannot let someone win our race, and get in place, and trust our marriages will last with God in it!
Dream 4 More Forgiveness is the key factor with a sincere heart as Tempest does with Sterling "she did it with her whole heart and soul (Matthew 614)" (page 296). Another important moral lesson exemplified in this reading was to "hold on to your dreams." Sheryl Mallory-Johnson is a talented writer, gives balance of all the right elements to create the right formula for a splendid novel to read on relationships.

Sweet Dreams
Relationships are hard to maintain if both partners are not working toward the same goals. Carmen, Tempest and Dana find this out in Love & Regrets by Sheryl Mallory-Johnson. These three friends realize just what they are made of when drastic changes threaten their relationships.
Carmen is a successful mother and business woman who has a loving husband. It would appear that Carmen has it all but looks can be deceiving. Carmen's relationship with a fellow employee has her rethinking her commitment to her husband. Will Carmen come to her senses or risk everything?
Dana is on a personal mission to complete three goals before her deadline, which is fast approaching. Dana's boyfriend, Omar, does not see the big picture and Dana's patience is running thin. Dana meets Matthew, a man that is more than willing to help her reach her goals. As Dana grows fond of Matthew, Omar has a breakthrough causing Dana to make a difficult decision.
Tempest is planning her dream wedding while her fiancé Sterling is away playing professional football. After seeing a media stunt play out involving the love of her life, Tempest decides to surprise Sterling with a visit.
Love & Regrets is about relationships, decisions and love. This drama in the book was not over the top and did not take away from the message. The characters were well-developed, each bringing something different to the storyline. It would thrill me if the author was to have some of these characters in stand alone books. I hope this hint works. I recommend Love & Regrets to others.

At some point in a woman's life, she's been a Carmen, Tempest, Dana, or perhaps all three. "Love & Regrets" takes us on a journey in our mind and allow us to experience what some would only imagine. Each character's story captures your emotion, leaving you eagerly anticipating every sentence, paragraph and chapter. Cleverly written and guaranteed to satisfy your literary senses, you will thoroughly enjoy this read. Congratulations Ms. Mallory-Johnson on a book well done!
Love and Regrets has a fantastic and believable plot. The characters have human flaws like all of us. I could not put the book down. My book club read it for our November selection and had an enjoyable and informative chat with the author during our meeting!
This book was just okay for me, there didn't seem to be much chemistry between the characters, or maybe I just couldn't connect with them. There were some exciting moments but the story dragged to the point that I eventually lost interest. Just okay read.
